Doesn't come with enough screws

Doesn't come with all the screws you need for assembly. You need 22 D screws and it lists only 14 come in the kit. Assembly was easy and looks nice but can't attach the pieces to keep the back secure without those screws

This was easy to assemble & the mid century modern design is purrrrfect for our lanai in our Florida condo. No issues and helps contain odors but I do clean every morning.

Difficult to assemble, some manufacturing oversights, but an intriguing piece of furniture

This took me and daughter around 45 minutes to assemble; I assemble a good bit of furniture regularly. Instructions are adequate, though you need to really pay attention to the images and how things are aligned and positioned in the pictures. The product has some minor manufacturing slips which were quick and easy to correct and you can't notice the defects once assembled (I should note, too, that the box was well-padded, so it should at least be difficult to get dings and scratches in shipment). While assembly wasn't difficult, I found some of the screws are difficult to get in due to awkward angles (particularly the piece which allows the door to swivel open/closed. The cause of it taking a fairly long while to assemble is mostly down to just how many small screws and pieces are involved and that the holes for screws aren't pre-drilled (instead, where you're supposed to run screws in just has the polymer coating missing from it), requiring some extra force and time; maybe they were supposed to be pre-drilled in manufacturing? As a completed product, the cat bathroom/bedroom (we decided on using it as a bedroom) is definitely a conversation piece. One cat in particular likes to hide out in it and sulk (or whatever he's feeling). It includes a piece for mounting it to the wall to prevent toddlers and the like from pulling the unit down on themselves and otherwise prevent tipping. Almost every piece of hardware has some extras included for people like myself who tend to drop and lose things.Overall, it's an interesting piece we'll definitely get some use and amusement out of. The issues I had will fade out of memory now that it's assembled (though I sure don't ever want to move it unless fully assembled). I should also note that while the pieces fit together well and snugly, I would not trust this furniture to stand up to someone falling into it even once; the material is not very thick, and the back panel is a thin veneer type of wood; given price at time of review, I can't fault it for that, though.

Cat approved, four paws up.

The media could not be loaded.

This cat furniture was approved as soon as it started coming out of the box. My grand kitten supervised the entire assembly process. The instructions were very easy to follow and I had my husband do it. It took an hour. I helped to line up some of the locking rods for the top and bottom. But one person could put this together. You need some space to put this together, so it was put together in the pool table area and later moved into my office. This is a cat resting area that is hidden. I needed a surface for some things and would like my cat to be able to have a place out of the way when I am working. There is enough clearance in the cabinet side for me to put a small shelf between the two walls for storage of some things and still have the cat be able to lie down inside. I plan on doing this later. You get a scratching post made of cardboard to put on the entry side. If you needed to refill, you might have to buy one from the store and cut it to fit the spot later, most of the time, you can get double the use if you just flip the cardboard over. There was a little crack where the plastic covers over the wood cut out. I can put some wood glue in to fix it but it did come with that issue. and so that is why the rating is 4 stars vs 5.

Okay, but I wouldn't buy it again

It works, but the door doesn't close properly. The holes for the screws don't line up weIl. It's not incredibly sturdy. It comes with a corrugated cardboard piece that fits in the floor of the opening to trap litter from the cats paws when they walk out. A nice feature. But it only comes with one and there is no information on getting a replacement. It's not a standard size and I can't find another one that fits.

Do not purchase

Very small!! I have a normal size litter box with the lid and my cat can’t get into if the lid is on and in the cabinet. He’s a 4 lb kitten and an aggressive digger and needs the lid to keep the litter from flying around. This is useless. I’d return it if we had not of already put it together, only to find out that it is not compatible with a litter box with a lid. The back board is very flimsy.

Cute, perfect size, defective parts, and difficult to assemble

The directions say you need a screwdriver and should not use a drill but you definitely need a drill. There was so much hardware and the directions were very long. I ended up hiring a taskrabbit to assemble it. It came with defective parts- specifically the hardware that opens and closes the door. It was a metal piece that was deformed. The quality is not so good- particle board, but it was the perfect size for me and it looks cute. There's no way for me to return the item because I got halfway through assembly before finding defective parts and there's also no way to get product support for a new piece.

Missing Parts When arrived!

Item was missing the wooden dowels. We have had a very hard time finding the correct size wooden dowels to replace the missing ones.

Poorly fabricated

It’s a cute piece and blends in a room nicely. Unfortunately it wasn’t fabricated very well. Several of the holes where you need to screw something into were only a pinprick and I needed to drill them to be wider myself. Coincidentally a few of the peg holes were drilled out too wide and the pegs kept falling out. The recess where the backing is supposed to slide into did not line up correctly which didn’t allow the backing to fit properly. I don’t normally write negative reviews but I would have liked to know this.

Love it!

I have this in my laundry room. It looks great and my cats love it too. It's so much better that an open litter box.

Attractive, sturdy, completely hides the litter box... if the litter box will fit!

Despite giving it 5 stars across the board in different categories, I am still giving it a 4 star review for this one reason: I have 4 different litter box styles in this house. 4. The only one that fit was the really really small cheap ones you get when you get a kitten and it can't handle getting in and out of a big box yet. Now, I have converted that box space into a comfy house/bed for the cat. I put a thick fluffy blanket in it, keep the door closed so she can have her privacy and enter/exit through the arched door leading to the lobby with the scratchy board in it. But basically, she won't go in it. She will sleep on top of it, because it's great -- like all tables. But it's just as well the litter boxes I have didn't fit inside, she'd be finding somewhere for me to clean up if it was actually where she had to go potty.IDK. If you have a less cowardly feline, this might be just the thing. If you can find the proper size litter box -- and that means it cannot be bigger than: 20" x 15". And that's absolute outside dimensions. 20.1" x 15.1" probably would not sit flat inside, or wouldn't allow the door to close and that defeats the whole point.4 stars.

Best for smaller cats

I got this litter box cabinet in the hopes that I could get my cats to actually use it, and therefore have three litter boxes instead of only two, which I have to clean constantly unless I want to deal with an “accident” (it’s never an accident). I only have a couple places that are convenient for litter boxes — though “convenient” is a stretch — and haven’t been able to figure out where I could put a third. This cabinet thing effectively hides the litter box so I can put it places I otherwise wouldn’t consider.Assembly was not especially difficult as far as following the directions, but it was a pain and somewhat time-consuming. It doesn’t want you to use power tools, and you’ll have to supply your own screwdriver. The holes are not predrilled, just indicated by little dots cut out of the plastic coating, and some of those were not properly cut out, either. And there’s lots of little pieces. So it takes some time and some hand strength to get it all together, and as someone dealing with a bit of joint trouble, it wasn’t the greatest experience assembling furniture. But know what you’re getting into, and with some patience, I don’t expect most people to have serious problems with this.As for the cabinet once assembled, it seems to be best suited for smaller cats, especially if you want to put the cardboard scratch pad in there. The archway to get into the litter box side isn’t tall enough for a lot of litter boxes which have higher sides to keep the litter in, so I’d be aware of the measurements and make sure you have a litter box that actually fits. The archway is just shy of 12”without the scratcher, and a lot of litter boxes have 5-6”sides — leaving a pretty small gap to climb through. This is what makes me think it’s better for smaller cats, or else you have to get an especially low-sided litter box (I’m trying to use a Van Ness “large high sided litter box with frame” which will hopefully work, since the front has a lower entry). I think this would be a better/more versatile product if they increased the depth an inch or two (for wider boxes), and raised the arch a few more inches.Other than that, note that this is black. Some of the mock-up product images seem to show a more dark charcoal gray matte “black”, but this is shiny true black with a slight texture. I would’ve preferred gray or even white, but it’s not bad. The legs are pale wood with rounded plastic feet and look pretty nice. The hardboard backing could be a little thicker, but as long as it’s against a wall, it should be fine. Overall, I think this is a pretty good value. Even better if I can get my cats to use it!

doesn’t detour dogs that much

Got this due to my dogs gunning for “kitty treats” and this only stalls them enough to get onto about it, you also have to buy or have a small litter box. It helps if you want a small stable and have dogs that aren’t interested.

Would not buy again

I bought this together with the litter box recommended by Amazon. The litter box does not fit. It pushes the door open which defies the purpose.
